Thank you Becky, for working to put this disk together for Miss Alli, of
her homeland. She was so excited to see the pictures. And of course
this one caught her eye. Alli was in the Aloshka orphanage in
Shumerly.... She said, they used to climb over behind this building and
go into the woods, even though they weren't supposed to. That's my
Alli! LOL
I am so thankful for those who have cared so much to help us piece Alli's life together so she has a complete picture. (or as complete as we can get)
There are so many sad things in her life story. But we look forward and know that even though there is nothing we can do about the past, and there is great sadness over the loss of her biological brother and sister, due to disruption, and unwillingness to allow her to even send a letter, we can forge through and make the future what we want it to be, with the help of the Lord.

Alli's Russia is beautiful! My friends and I used to climb over our school fence and go to the beach for lunch sometimes.
I love Russian fairy tales. I bought a huge book of them years ago, it only cost 50p. I've spent many evenings reading the stories, but I still don't think I've read them all. Do your girls like them too? Here's a link to a free e-book of Russian fairy tales, told by Arthur Ransom. He wrote "Swallows and Amazons", which is another of my favourite books.
